Okay. Stop. Someone needs to investigate the serious drinking problem in the Indiana Statehouse. First we can’t leave the polls open longer because we can’t go an extra hour without alcohol, and now this. While introducing a bill to re-legalize fireworks in Indiana, Rep. Thomas Weatherwax (R-Logansport)offered up this revealing tidbit:
A self-proclaimed fireworks aficionado, Weatherwax counts himself among the few Hoosiers dedicated enough to procure the special state license needed to legally engage in back-yard pyrotechnics. He makes a personal sacrifice, too.
“I stop drinking beer at noon,” Weatherwax said, drawing laughter from the committee.
